Pick shiitake mushrooms lined up inside the greenhouse with your own eyes. Compare shapes and sizes as you search for the ones you want to take home.
At Fukayama Farm, we offer a "Shiitake Harvesting Experience" where you can select and harvest mushrooms yourself. Experience firsthand how they sprout from mushroom beds, along with their freshly picked aroma and solid texture. You can take all the shiitake you harvest back home with you.
Wondering how to cook the shiitake you handpicked today once you get home—that anticipation is part of the souvenir, too.
Highlights of the Experience
Taking your time to decide which ones to pick is all part of the fun. Our staff will guide you with tips on how to choose the best ones and how to harvest them. In addition to harvesting and taking mushrooms home, we also offer plans that include an exclusive tour of the cultivation site, as well as special discounted rates on additional fresh and dried shiitake mushrooms.
Overview
- Date & Time: In principle, Mondays from 13:00 to 14:00
*Please note that sessions may not be held in certain weeks due to farm operations or staff scheduling. - Location: Fukayama Farm (854 Ogou, Yano-cho, Aioi-shi, Hyogo)
- Target Audience: Adults and children (discounts available for elementary school children and younger)
- Capacity: Total of 12 participants per session (combined capacity across all groups and plans)

- Child Discount: Children of elementary school age and younger receive a 500 yen discount off each plan price.
- Special Perks: On the day of the experience only, you can purchase additional fresh shiitake picking or dried shiitake for souvenirs at special discounted prices.
